anyone birth their cakes a few days after full colonization, before pinning? Because I'm on my second grow, and the first time I waited for good pinning, but the growth was rerstricted because the pins took a while to grow upwards since the stems kept growing ON and around the cake for so long.

Wiat about a week after full colonization, it doesnt have to be pinning when you birth it, its self preference.

The bottom center of cakes is the last to colonize. I usually birth and dunk them a day or 2 after the bottom middle colonizes.
