Why different mycelium after transfer?

Recent I had made a post asking some questions about making an agar from colonized grain: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/9715181
I've since transfer slices from that first dish to new plates, and here's what I've been observing.
This is the original dish with the grain now, exhibiting extremely rhizomorphic growth throughout. It was suggested that this original plate appeared to be an isolate.

Here's a transfer from 1/29:

Here are a few transfers from 2/1:

What I'm wondering is, why does the mycelium growing out of the transfers not exhibit the same rhizomorphic growth throughout? I took very small slices from some of the edges (visible as holes in the original plate).

RR put in some feedback in my last post that he didn't see any sectoring. To be honest, I can't see anything that resembles sectoring in the original dish either, but the transfers from that all seem to be...

I don't see any sectoring there, only different mycelium types. Grab a few of those rhizo growths and transfer to new dishes to use to inoculate your next grain jars. RR
RR said this prier to that dish reaching the edges.
edit: heh you beat me to it

Oh, so those transfers aren't sectoring?
Man, I must still not have a good grasp of what sectoring looks like. I guess I'm wondering why the mycelium looks so different from the original?
