advice for a kid?
    #9761904 - 02/08/09 06:16 PM (15 years, 2 months ago)

my sis is throwing a b-day party for her soon to be 1yr old daughter, she's having everyone write something philosophical or "words of life encouragement". it's meant to be something she can read later on.  i'm no good at this so i'm putting my faith in you guys, what would be something the people of shroomery would say?:bow2:

Don't be afraid to take chances, don't listen to people who tell you not to try. You can achieve anything!

The best advice I ever received was from my dad. He told me to always choose happiness, that I was wholly responsible for my own personal life, my own happiness, that if I let others tell me what to do to be happy, I would spend a miserable existence. He's right. And I'm happy!

Stay in touch. Forget pride. Let small things slide. Question everything. Know your world. Be honest, even if it hurts. Show people appreciation now, because they may not be here tomorrow. Have a plan, but don't be afraid to change it. Ask for help if you need it.

That's a start.

There exists one lie that is the absolute worst. A lie that has successfully infiltrated many of the Western governments. This lie is Christianity, and it must be fought in every way, shape and form. Burn the churches and kill the priests. The abomination that is Christianity must be wiped from this Earth.

QFT.  I don't understand why so many parents blow so much money on lavish birthday parties for their one or two year olds when they're not even going to remember it.
