So should I keep my aluminum pan in incubation for a few days or just go ahead and introduce to fruiting temps ?
I've heard mixed stories about incubating after breaking the cakes up and applying a casing layer ?
Please Help !!!

if you crumbled cakes you have to wait for re-colonization(colonized the sub you mixed your cakes into) then you case/not-case and put into fruiting conditions.

I crumbled cakes on top of a layer of 50/50 + according to that tek it says to use the 50/50+ on the bottom as well as the top ...
So it is peat/verm/oyster/lime on top and bottom of cakes and then I covered with aluminum foil and put back into the incubator...
Some say you should put right into fruiting conditions and some say to let the myc come through the top layer then introduce into fruiting conditions???
I'm not sure which way is correct ? ? ?

Im getting ready to put grain jars in a monotub? What is the best bulk substrate for a monotub?
I just finished casing some cakes and used 50/50+oyster/lime Casing but I understand that when you get into the bulk substrate you can not use the same stuff ...
So when my grain jars are 100% colonized and my mono-tubs are ready ... What is the best substrate for the bottom of the montub w/o me breaking the bank ?
Horse shit should be the cheapest, and is definitely good. If you dont live near any horses, Coco Coir is fairly cheap, it will cost about 4 dollars per tub if you use coir. Chopped straw by itself seems to grow gigantic mushrooms.

I bought cow manure from Lowe's $1.67 for a 40 lb bag ... Sweet
I also discovered while there that they sell bales of hay ... I picked up one of those too ...
I'm gonna have to search for a good tek for cow poo/straw/gypsum
I have verm/oyster shell / and hydrated lime here too ...
I'm not sure if I need all of this for bulk ???

I've seen teks around here with straw and some with hay ...
I'm not sure the difference in the two but I figured Lowe's had it so why not get it for bulk growing

Hay will work as a bulk substrate. I've used it before. It seems to contaminate easily though. Even easier than straw. Especially if it contains much leftover seed/grain.
Your list is sufficient for a bulk grow. Bagged cow manure works, it's just not optimal. You will also need to use your straw and/or vermiculite to "fluff it up". Bagged cow manure tends to become very muddy when hydrated.
You don't need the oyster shell or hydrated lime unless you're planning on using a casing layer, which bulk tubs of Cubensis don't require.

Thanks for your help ... That's probably one of the best anuses I've gotten out of all the questions that I have asked as a noobie ... I appreciate that
I had already started BRF cakes when I decided to go the bulk method ... I went out and made 2 Mono-Tubs ... Got my 23 qt PC last week and just PC'd some rye grain *** Suppose to have 4 new syringes on Tuesday ***
I have BRF cakes crumbled/cased in one of the Mono-tubs now ...

Every site I have checked out is charging high dollar for bags of cow/horse poo ?
Do you live in the US? If you do post on Craigslist "Looking for horse Manure"
Sounds like it would never work, right? It did for me. It worked REALLY good.
I got 15 plus responses within TWO DAYS!
And they were from San Antonio, where I live
and a bunch of places directly around San Antonio that offered it by the truck load. I was drooling when someone said they had a loader and they'd fill my truck for free.

That's to funny ... anuses
I live in Va so the Craiglist thing would definitely work but I live in an apartment and I don't have a truck
Buying it by the bag may be my best option right now ... Thanks for the heads up though as I will be moving and getting a house soon I hope ... Gotta finish school
Just out of curiosity, how do you guys put pics and saying under your replies ? They are there on every post you have and I don't see an option for that under account options

ah craigslist.. good idea I can't find free or even bagged poo here. or gypsum for that matter. sucks cause I need poo tomorrow
-------------------- I agree totally. However, this forum isn't for the experienced growers, because they already know the ropes. It's for the new growers who are just starting out. Sometimes the hardest part about learning something new is un-learning bad info. That's why I tend to correct people for calling a substrate tray a 'casing', etc. RR everything I say is a lie on here.

Do you have a Lowe's or Home Depot around you anywhere ? If so they sell it there, I had no idea but it's an awesome deal ... I think a 40 lb bag was like $1.67
