Transplanting?
    #974606 - 10/19/02 11:25 AM (21 years, 7 months ago)

I've got a myco bag, and the shrooms are growing off the rhizomorphic mycelium that's on the bag, not off the substrate it self. I'm getting a lot of pins, but they're all on the sides, only like 3 pins off the substrate itself. It's going to smash the shrooms into the substrate. I was wondering if I was going to transplant it to a terrarium, if I could trip off the patch of mushrooms on the plastic bag and then set it on top of the substrate? Would the mycelium connect and would the mushrooms start to grow again? There is already one mushroom that's crushed, against the bag and it's split open, I don't want it to get contaminated. Any suggestions besides leaving them a lone?

My squirrel was able to do this with the pod he made. He got some incredible flushes. He also made some terraiums from a 10gal and 20gal fish tanks, put in a couple of those long bubble wands and added geolite to a good level and some H2O+H2O2 water and that worked great as well. Dont worry about contams as long as the cake is fully colonized.
