Incubation Process

I'm more used to the throw-the-jars-in-the-drawer-and-wait method, but what alternative is there to speed up colonization if a heat source like that poses a fire hazard? My house is cold during the day (around 65?F) but i also have old carpeted floors which even a space heater would set off...

I was looking for a type of method that doesn't require an aquarium heater... but thanks for the info anyway...

You'll find that a water heater incubator is not at all a complicated incubator to make.

Card board box on top the fridge, or over the hot water heater. 6T

Dude its really easy, damn cheap, and it's worth it. Colonization time cut nearly in half. That means for around $15, you cut colonization time from a month to two weeks. Look into it, you will not be disappointed. Peace.

If you have a light socket in your closet, you can go to your helpful hardware man at Ace and get an adapter which will screw into the socket and has receptacles on the side and another socket for your bulb. Should cost $2-$3 max.

use an extension cord, If you are trying to hid your jars during incubation, what are you going to do during fruiting? Good Luck.
