I plan on pcing it for 90 minutes after a 12 hour soak?

sound right?

Looks like wbs to me, should work fine. Also, I know some people have problems with sunflower seeds in their mix and like to pick them out during the soak.

I use 24hr soak + 10 minute simmer +  90min PC for my rye. I don't use WBS.

Exact one I use. I soak 24 hours, drain, rinse well, pc for a hour.

i read that 'birdkote' is a fungicide and "no good". have i been avoiding this brand for no reason?

If you soak/rinse/simmer/rinse and rinse well, you should be fine.

Just remember to scoop out the floaters first.

In my opinion either soak it for 24 hours and rinse well, or simmer for a half hour and drain for half hour.  I see no reason to soak AND simmer.  If used both methods individually and it worked fine.
