i'd buy a new one if i could, and will when i get the chance. it doesn't replace my grandfather's reel, which i still hope to find eventually, but as i had 3 rods and only 1 reel to start with, it's a solid plan. say; you aren't in the market to buy a custom longbow or some handknapped obsidian are you..?

I live in driving distance of Glass Buttes in Oregon. It's a solid mountain of Obsidian. I have made arrow heads and knifes from the stuff for over twenty years. (Not much anymore however although I still love to look for points while hiking in the desert.)
I have a friend who makes bows and would make me one if I found the wood and cured it. I did make a Paiute short bow out of Bitter Cherry during my survival training. Now I just shoot a 22.

Dig that little waterfall.
What is that lake second from the bottom?
