What is the reason for mushrooms taking a dive instead of growing up. I figure it is too much co2 and not enough light. Is this true? You can see examples in the pictures. These mushrooms in the pics below started growing while in incubation so it was put in the light and fanned to let the mushrooms grow out properly.

I think this is India. Although it looks slightly different from india I've seen grow (maybe it's the pinning during incubation). The container is about 2' x 1.5' and the substrate is mixed seed spawn into a variety of wild grass, wheat grass, and buffalo dung.

It has to do with the light source. If its constantly in one place, they should grow up normally.. ;p

Yeah.. I agree with everyone else.. It looks like they had a growth spurt while the lights were out or something. If it is possible maybe you can leave the lights on 24 hours a day.

had this happen to me before...give them 18+ hours of light after you realize they are curly fries (white with no cap)
