A couple of questions regarding Psilocybe Tampanesis

Hello everyone! I have a few questions regarding the "Philosopher stone" My first and only experiance with them was when I was 18 (8 years ago) In Amsterdam where Ive ate a double pack by mistake... Breath-taking experiance... Ive tried some other strains since then, In home (Israel) In th US in Mexico and in Guatemala... Ive Tried Cubensis and Copelandia and Mexicana in Mexico, but It was way differnet.. The experiance with the Philosopher Stone was much more visiual. milder. easier. So, First of all, Ive recently bought a grow kit of this strain and Its been said in that web site that theres not much to do with it beside waiting. But I want to know How can I cultivate them from scratch. 60 euros for 60 grm is pretty expensive. Do I need some sort of Spore print? How do I take one from a truflle??? Can I buy something like this on the web? Now, Ive understood that the active chemicals in this mushroom are Psilocybin and Psilocin. Is there a presence of other active chemichals in it? Now another question. Dosent really related to the subject. Would you define The mrj starin "Purple Power" Hazy? Im looking for somthing as pure Staiva as I can to grow. As hazy as possible. What would you recomend? Thanks in Advance!

sclerotia kits you are not actually fruiting the sub. you are colonizing the sub then just let them sit to form sclerotia. so start your own grow you need to have spores that you would acquire from the fruit.

First of all, thank you all for replaying! I do know how to cultivate mushroom. I'm also familiar with the chart, I have this book. My goal is to have the ability to grow the sclerotia from zero by my own. To start a circle. The cultivation itself seems very easy to me. But I dont really understnad how it works.. Now, what I have understood is that the "Philosopher stone", is actually the sclerotia of one of two of these strains: P. Tampanensis and P. Mexicana. How dose it work? Do I need to get a spore print of one of the above, cultivate it and beside of the mushroms themselvs I'll also be able to find the sclerotia (The Philosopher stone) in the growing platform? What am I missing? Thanks again

You could also take a piece of sclerotia, grow it on agar, transfer until you have a clean culture and use an agar wedge to inoculate a grain jar. Or if you're unfamiliar with agar work, take a clean biopsy from a sclerotia and use it to inoculate a LC. Let the LC colonize and use the LC to inoculate a grain jar.
Then when you harvest the sclerotias, start again from the top. No sporeprints needed. You could even inoculate a grain jar straight with a piece of sclerotia, no need for LC or agar.

For example, what is the use of the following? Is the spore print is for the growing of the sclerotia? Because the sclerotia contains psilocybin? is this the "Philosopher Stone" I'm talking about? http://sporeworks.com/store/catalog/Psilocybe-mexicana--Strain-ATM-p-16203.html thanks

So I can make a cycle using a piece of sclerotia? Allways restarting from a small piece? So When the grow kit I have orderd will be ready to harvest I can use pieces of it to restart another colony? Thank you very much, by the way!

Yes, but you'll have to make sure the piece of sclerotia you use is sterile, unless you grow it on agar, where you can separate the clean culture from the contaminations. Dipping it in H2O2 could work.

Since you have a kit, the sclerotia will just form inside it as it matures. The sclerotia doesn't contain any spores but you might be able to use one as a starter for more sclerotia if you can sterilely transfer a small one to fresh sterilized grass seed.
If you want spores, you will have to fruit it to produce mushrooms.
All of the sclerotia forming mushrooms look pretty similar. You can read about all the related species here.
Section Mexicanae
Here is a tray of a productive sclerotia forming species from Georgia.
 Psilocybe galindoi - ATL#7

What is grass seed? I'm sorry, but its hard for me to translate all the terms hence We're probebly using differnt names for the substances and the materiales we're using over here.. But the main idea, I think, for me to understand is that I can restart a colony in a cycle from a sterile piece I'll harvest? The substances are less importent at the moment..

You seem to have the right idea. Grass seed (used to grow grass (turf) in lawns and fields) is the prefered substrate, but any grain will work to some degree, such as rye, wheat, millet.
