Hey everyone, just wanted to show you guys my bucket, its nothing special (besides square ) and i spawned 1 quart of WBS spawn to the rest of it which is coir/verm. I love these square buckets, i think im going to try and buy like 3 more, but idk if i can buy them, this current one is a bucket kitty litter comes in. Comes with a nice top. But for fruiting i just use clear wrap with a rubber band around it. Enjoy!
PS, the WBS was inoculated with golden teacher LC incase anyone wants to know. I will be updating all pictures into this post. Heres an early on picture:
1-11-09
This is just a picture I took during incubation I figured I'd post.
1-29-09
1-30-09
Ok heres a couple pictures as promised. They look pretty happy to me! And im very impressed with the pinset it's my best yet!
And finally, heres a mutant from a cake i got in my auto FC. Should I pick this now? The perlites pretty wet its not gonna rot is it?
1-31-09
Must be keeping them happy, because i woke up and checked and ta-da! I fuckin love kitty litter buckets now!
I picked that big chode lookin shroom that was on one of my cakes pictured above, check it out haha!
Veils started breaking so i harvested flush one and started dunking at 11:30pm, so around noon tommorow im going to drain er and put back into fruiting. Total wet weight 278 grams, im pumped!
They are on the cable box on top of a paper towel with a fan blowing on them. The fan is a space heater, but i have it just on fan, Id like to dry them using it with heat on, but i dont want to start a fire or heat the room up a ton. Anybody give me advice on a setup usuing the heater to dry faster? Or will they just be good on the cable box?
Anyways, heres the pre-harvest pictures.

Will do, that picture was taken earlier, and there is already a lot more significant growth. My monotub has also began to pin! Hell yeah! So tommorow ill post some pictures of both, and 2 colonized cakes i had laying around have begun to pin in my auto FC. But the one cake has a halarious chode-like shroom thats like the size and shape of a ping ping ball, maybe a little bigger. So ill try to get a picture of that as well.
I can't wait to see how much this bucket yeilds, id estimate 3 inches of sub, and from other grows it looks like they get around 50g dry on first flush. I plan on 2 decent flushes so im pumped.

Hydroponic stores sells square pots for 70 cents a piece, some might carry cow dung pots which i've always wanted to test.

Wow after a few months i would have a bunch! But my mother uses this cat litter, and i think she gives the empties to my father, so im gonna have to ask him for a few, no clue when im going to start my next grow though. So far 5 brf cakes, 1 wbs cake, half quart wbs cake fruited invitro, and 4 quarts of wbs have gone pretty far haha.

Also, I picked that chode mutant lookin shroom i updated into the first post, well i found out its not much of a mutant, just a chode. I picked it, wet weight was 40.2!!! I think it had a ton of extra water due to growing into the perlite, but damn!

Deffinetly worth it, just used a leftover quart of wbs and leftover coir/verm mix. The bucket stays humid enough to not even need to mist once, plus i didnt use a casing layer, so i wanted RH as high as possable. Dunking is also great, i just held it down and filled it till there was a good inch of water over it and used a water pitcher to hold it down, i didnt even fill it with water, because i put the plastic lid on which pushed it down and kept the substrate submerged.
If you have the opportunity, go for it for sure!
