Do you regret aborting your trips?

For anyone that has ever aborted a trip with xanax, did you regret it afterwords?
I have taken a xanax for two trips, one last night, and I feel a bit of regret for them. I guess I can compare the feeling to how weed used to make me so high (many many years ago) that I wanted to sober up, but then I would be smoking again the next night.

Ride it out next time. It feels great when it's over.

Wow, that works? I've seen in movies and tv where a doctor shoots someone up with something and it makes them come down from trips, but I didn't know there was something you could do to really stop someone from bad-trippin. How well does it work and roughly how fast?

xanax only calms you down, but there are other things you can take to stop the trip.

Pretty sure benzos (though especially xanax for some reason I don't know as I've never taken any benzos) in general kill anxiety dead and are well known for their power to stop bad trips in their tracks.

well klonopin should be able to stop the trip while xanax just relieves anxiety.

I'm actually surprised I've never come across benzos in my entire life. They seem common and easy to find for many folks on this board.
I guess I figure it's for the best.

Was the only reason I enjoyed my trip so much because of the fact that I was on 1.5 mg of xanax before I started tripping, and had another while I was eating the seeds?

I find for me benzos kill the story part of your trip but you can still trip with crazy visuals, but when you lose the anxiety I find the trip loses a lot of it's depth. makes me think that anxiety is good in some ways that it can cause excitement.

I've had 70mg of Valium on the comedown of lsd, it was like 6AM so I wanted to sleep. It didn't knock me out, it made everything EXTREMELY trippy for the next 3-4 hours.

I was still tripping after taking the xanax, but it eventually chilled me out after awhile, and got rid of most of the intensity

Yes, Benzo's kill a trip for the most part. Leaving you with a lot milder effects. Salvinate, I've never heard of those two having that effect, but thanks for the info. I may have to research into that a bit, unless anyone can confirm these?

If some one took a klonapin 3 hours before eating mushrooms, would that kill the effects?

I do not abort. Very usually it is full throttle or nothing.
On my trips I always buckle my seatbelt. The navigator sucks though!

Yeah. I'm as afraid of interminable, horrific trips to hell as anybody else is, but I don't even think of "aborting" as an option. I definitely wouldn't go out looking for benzos for some sense of security on my next trip; that's just sacrilege. Part of what makes psychedelics great to me is that they have the power to strike the fear of God into you no matter how much of an atheist you are.
If I had a drug that could stop them from doing that, what would be the point? I think it's probably much healthier in the long run to suffer for hours from a bad trip than to cut it short in 20 minutes with a knockout pill. Even if those six hours of hell leave you with lingering anxiety, it happens for a reason that existed before the trip. Bad trips happen for a reason, and to bypass the stream of psychosomatic agony they may inflict using a hypnotic sedative is tantamount to abuse in mind.
