I'm not too concerned about how long ill live (though that will probably change in time)
but id say its pretty much a fact that you are just plain happier if your healthier
happiness, its all about happiness!

what if our government actually cared about how healthy we were

but if everyone was healthy, what in the heck would the gov do with all that extra tax money??? hmmmm.....ever wonder why they still haven't found a cure for cancer? it's because it would be a bad economical move. Millions and millions of people have some sort of cancer, and the money spent every year to treat it, and the incredible amount of money pharmaceutical companies make selling drugs, and the....well you get the idea.  *wink wing*

Sorry choda... we haven't found a cure for cancer because it's a fucking puzzle.

I wish the reason we don't have a cure for cancer were as simple a conspiracy.

Actually we have not found a cure for cancer because treating it is too big a market. Same with AIDS. I'll go with Choda on this

i think we have cures for cancer and aids, but like you said, its too big a market to let the people get it

Actually there is some minor truth in what choda is saying.

There isn't some grand conspiracy in keeping the cure for cancer a secret but economics is definitely in the driver seat. There is a lot more money in treatment then there is in a cure.

It sucks for humanity but I must admit that if I was the CEO of Phizer, Dura, or
Eli Lily that I wouldn't pursue a cure. Again, not that there is some sort of conspiracy but the almighty buck is a powerful motivator

Actually certain cancers are incredibly resposive to certain organic chemicals found in mushrooms.

It has been documented for some time now that Lentinan, from the mushroom Lentinus edodes aka Shiitake, causes regression in tumors like sarcoma-180.

An overall cure for cancer is unlikely because the word cancer is an umbrella term.

"Again, not that there is some sort of conspiracy but the almighty buck is a powerful motivator "

AH HA!

What if  that the almighty buck (the desire to become rich) IS the conspiracy?
A subconscious "conspiracy".  Participated in, without knowing, by those who seek to become Super Wealthy.

What if nothing more than greed is the "conspiracy"?  Fortunately greed is a very instinctual, animalistic human response and can easily be overcome if one can say the right words.

For those aware of this phenomenon, it seems as though there's a giant plan being enforced upon our entire species, yet the plan seems to me to be nothing more than blind monkey greed.

So if we stop using money how is anyone going to suggest to us how to spend it?
What if all stores just started giving their retail stock away?
What if bankers started to empty the vaults into giant bon fires?
I think we'd have the national gaurd on us pretty quick.
But the Gaurdsmen are the children of the shop owners, and the bankers, etc etc.......   :smirk:

/me starts National Throw Out Your Cash Day.

I have thought about this too!!

Last year I bought a super nice chair at IKEA and I never want to get out of it. Being in a comfortable position for me is super important when I am trippin or smokin buds.

I thought that Physical Education classes, instead of teaching people how to play stupid sports should teach people how to stretch good, the most comfortable positions to sit in etc. Somewtimes when I'm trippin streching feels so good. It is really too bad that more of this is not incorporated into our culture...I've seen pictures of "stretching breaks" in offices in Japan! Everyone stops what they are doing and does stretches! It would be awesome if we had this type of thing in schools and workplaces also.

Heh this thread reminded me of this one time I was trippin with Pattern... he was all tweaked and put on this housecoat and slippers with a cowboy hat with a monkey hanging around his neck, and to top it off, a corncob pipe.. he was running around his house yelling "It's like the lord of the ring, but on mushrooms!!!" ... oh man.. good times...

Not the saint, but the sinner that repenteth, is he to whom the full length and breadth, and height and depth, of life's meaning is revealed. Good and evil loose all objective meaning and are seen as equally necessary and contrasting elements in the masterpiece that is the universe.
