There's nothing wrong with developing a spiritual projection/relationship towards plants, fungi, and animals. Knock off on the insults please. If you disagree with something, just roll with the punches. Some things can be quantified, others can not. RR

Why wouldn't it help? Plants and fungi are alive too. They need attention. I believe there's more than just giving CO2 to the plants when you talk or sing to them. They enjoy the extra attention and grow better. Mushrooms could benefit from it as well.
Think about it. Just because we don't fully understand a lifeform doesn't mean it's not sentient at some level.

I don't know I mean, I think those plants they get cocaine from would commit suicide if they could feel the extent to which they will be used...the whole killing over drug territory and all and stuff.

Something that has such an effect on music would be almost arrogant to assume music does not have an affect on itself.

I'd like to point out a similar but slightly threadjacking idea..
It's been shown that water can be affected by intention and symbolism. In the case of the video below, water is affected by words taped to the sides of containers. The resulting water crystals are then frozen and photographed, revealing personalities and patterns which are strikingly coherent and intuitively interpreted.
Now, shrooms are 90% water folks... We are also like 80% water...
My first batch of PF sub was made with water which had been "infused" with a message to the water stating "Love, Wisdom, Gratitude" We'll see..

Why?
Perhaps I should just go delete the off-topic posts. Anyone who thinks that what can't be explained by 'today's science' is wacko, must be the intellectual descendants of those who thought heavier than air flight is a physical impossibility, that the earth is flat, the use of a magnetized needle to find north is witchcraft, and the moon is made of cheese.
For those of you who disagree, state your reasoning. For those of you wishing to insult, take it elsewhere. RR

Wait a min.... So the moon is NOT made of cheese ??
O and no,I wasn't insulting anyone(At least I didn't mean to be,I try and be much more blatant when I do that)I just didn't expect to come back and see 19 new replies to this topic and figured it wouldn't have been taken so seriously cause I remember it being talked about before.. Not so much singing to them yourself but the playing of music and I thought that someone had tried to see if it would do anything and got no different results

With all due respect, RR, I see it exactly the other way around. The great scientists of human history developed solid scientific theories and were able to support them by their observations which were predicted by their theories. Copernicus, Kepler, Galileo, Darwin, Newton, Einstein, etc. The flaming (literally in certain cases) they experienced were based on ludicrous BELIEFS, not scientific fact. Until someone PROVES to me that placing crystals on your "shakras" or singing to your plants is actually having a measurable effect I call bullshit. I ain't buying into any esoteric beliefs. The whole esoteric thing is a huge industry. There is a curing guru for every human deficiency and there's a sucker born every minute. Just my 0.02$. And I do not think that this topic should be locked. I enjoy a healthy and intelligent argument.
