Dude, do a search first. And why would you put poo in jars? I recommend that you get a book by STAMETS. Its called the mushroom cultivator. And it will get you off of that PF tek, no punn intended.

A little jar of Pasturized Poo, would "generaly" be a waste of time.
A "mini" "bulk" substrate is a conflict of terms .
Pasturize a bucket full & go for it. 6T

there aren`t many ways of drying your dung. It genereally needs to age properly in the sun. And some water needs to evaporate.

I have a polonuis heating disc on it now. It doesnt work very good, despite how hot it can get. All the poo is double bagged, that is probibly why, it will take FOREVER to get the inside of the bags dry.
I live in the inner city, and CAN NOT sun dry poo w/o rasieing any suspicion. If I could, it would B other ther right now. Maybe on a roof. I guess I will have to find out on my own.

Try opening the bag. It'll dry faster.
You should spread some newspapers out in a warm room and spread it out to dry.
To pasteurize properly, you need to raise the temp to about 160 and keep it there for several hours. Then let it cool slowly. There are several ghetto teks involving ovens and pressure cookers. But I don't think microwaving it for 10 minutes at high could be termed 'pasteurizing'.

I've mixed just about everything into the "PF" style cake! It Most all works, any kind of carb source IE: Frosted Flakes, Rice Crispies, Two Freaking Schoops! Experiment. I did a 1/2 pint with some brf, vermiculite and store aquired cow 'poo' It worked great!

I agree with the Captain Max on that one. Some "get lucky".
But, if you think about it. How long do you have to bake meat to get it to "rare" roast beef. Nuking 5 - 10 or 20 pounds of dung is not going to reach & maintain a consistant temp adiquate to fully pasturize it. Moreover, when nuking, some parts of it may reach a higher temp & other parts not even reach 160.
Others feel a pillow case full of dung in a pot of heated water, is the way to go. If you can stand the smell, dripping & lugging that around, more power to you.
If you have dry dung, is is simple to bake it dry -- in a big pot or turkey roasting pan & use a meat thermometer in it, to insure it gets to & maintains a proper temp. Then, later after it cools - hydrate it with hot water. Less smell, no dripping bag or draining.
But, whatever floats your boat.

That PooTek rocks!! But I can't see the "update" photos. Anyone else having this problem? I think i'm going to do mine outside. Propane stove from wal-mart, metal trash can on cinder blocks. Trailer Park Tek.
