Did you know that they're born as an organism that searches for a place to grow, then they become like a part of the coral reef, and grow for a while as a plant and lay babies, then they break off and turn into a jellyfish. One of the most deadly animals in the world, 100x more posinous than a coral snake.

Yeah, I knew about box jellyfish. Then again I'm about to graduate with a degree in biology and might go to grad school for marine biology.
That's the life cycle of every Cnidarian; species that typically contain nematocysts. They breed, they go into floating larval form, then form a polyp on a solid surface. If it's a motile Cnidarian, they eventually detach from the surface and float around in jellyfish form and breed, then the process starts over. A lot of corals do the same thing (a lot of them are Cnidarians, but they are stationary).
/end nerd shit.
It is crazy to think that something so insignificant can kill you with just a brush up against it. I wish I could do that. Did the show mention the Irukandji? They're a type of tiny (thimble sized), transparent box jellyfish that are more lethal than the big ass traditional box jellies.

The Irukandji is the deadliest of all jelly fish, pretty much invisible.
How do you like the marine biology section Gumby?

I've been keeping fish and/or working in the aquarium industry for the past 12 or so years. That's one of my major motivations for going into marine biology... Why not do something you love, ya know?
As far as taking marine biology courses goes, I'm at a shitty university for that. They have one marine bio professor here and she's a total cunt. I refuse to take her course because I'm afraid she might ruin it for me. That happened with neuroscience already.
