So I've been chatting online a lot lately with this girl I met (in person) the other day...and she seems pretty interested in me, and I think I might be kinda interested in her, but I'm still undecided.
I don't wanna ask this girl out for dinner and a movie or anything like that and have her get the idea that I'm going full bore for it...I just kinda wanna feel her out a bit more and see if she clicks with me. Any suggestions on what to do? Preferably something not too expensive...
I want the girl to know I'm a little interested, but I don't want her thinking I want her to mother my children or anything

If you wanna feel her out a bit more and see if you've got chemistry, just start hanging out with her more often. Inviter her over to smoke some bud and watch a movie. Or next time your going to the mall to buy clothes, call her up and have her come with. Just hang out with her.
But if you allready do all that wit her, then just go ahead and ask her out for dinner and movie. It's not all that serious of a date, and it won't "have her get the idea that I'm going full bore for it..."

Concert/show if you're into music. Something at a club, maybe a band you two have never heard. Always fun, and usually cheap if it's something obscure.

Forget about coffee or a concert, those stink. Instead invite some friends over to cook out or to play some wii and to smoke, then invite her to join you guys. This keeps the pressure off and she can see what sort of folks you hang out with and you can figure out if she fits in with your life or not. If she really sucks pawn her off on one of your friends and go into the other room. And if she stands you up, who cares? You've already got something to do.
