Just bought an X75 - Electric Sterilizer

I decided to kill 2 birds with 1 stone and get the largest All American Pressure Cooker i could that is also Self Heating.
This unit should be able to hold 19 quart jars, and plugs into a 120v home outlet.
I just thought I would put this out here so I can hear everyone's thoughts and idea's.
Feel free to comment, and I will take a pic when I receive it
Does this should like something you would save up and buy? Yes or No
::EDIT::

Oatman2000 said: Last comment. I keep the dial at 6 and it takes 20 min to reach 15psi and does not go over 20. So i just add 20 min to my total time, for a completely silent very discreet pressure cooking operation.
This thing doesn't vent so you receive no smell outside while sterilizing! This is a very good buy even though my final comfortable answer is 12 widemouth quart jars.
Go get one!

Those things are awesome, I wish I bought one of them instead of all this aeroponic stuff, like a nutramist and crap. I spent so much between shipping and junk I could have bought one of those. If anyone wants that nutramist I am selling it in the market place (shameless plug in lol). Hell those things kick ass I would probably read it bed time stories.
I'll be happy none the less with my presto. Only cost me 70$ for a 23 qt off amazon with free shipping. It'll be good enough.

Thanks, and that's what I am upgrading from 2x Presto (7 quart jars a piece)
Did I also mention I only paid $840 shipped to my door. Cheepest on the net!

I would buy it if it would cost nothing
Not that I don't think it's great, though. If you can afford it.

If I had the spare change just hanging out in my pocket screaming "Hey, spend me!", I'd do it. But unfortunately, my change doesn't talk.

yea dude if I knew it cost you that much I may have voted "No" but it's a cool setup, definitely a time saver if your doing a hell of a lot of grain. If I was running a mushroom farm I'd be all over it though. Still I'm more likely to get a flowhood and perhaps bags for cheaper to make spawn.

What kind of surface do the self-heating vessels have to be placed on? Are they cool at the base during operation (the feet/stand, that is)?

If you're in the US, the electrical code requires two dedicated small appliance circuits to feed the kitchen counters and go nowhere else in the house. Be sure to locate and use one of those, so you don't trip a breaker during use. For example, it it was on the same circuit as a space heater, vacuum cleaner, or even kitchen blender, it would trip the breaker.
That's an excellent choice if you're doing a lot of grain jars and/or spawn bags. RR

Thanks to all who have voted so far.
Thanks RR, I have a dedicated outlet for this unit in my lab. I went over the whole power issue ahead of time.
I thought I would have to get a 220v version, but they make a 120v (which is cheaper)
I have a microwave above my stove. This gives me about 2 ft of space to put a large pot. My presto's are about as big as you can get under there.
Not to mention I only have the 2 small burners left on my stove, I have broken the others. This will also keep me from installing a stove in my lab. (I would have bought one and an AA PC)

Looks cool but I can't see myself spending that much money on a PC/Sterilizer.
My AA921 with standalone burners works GREAT and cost me $125.
I'd rather take the money I saved and build/buy a really nice flowhood.
I've found some really nice lab quality flowhoods on ebay but the shipping is ridiculous on a piece of equipment that large.

You've been talking about buying one for a while. I'm glad to see you could afford to take the plunge in such a pitiful economy.
Good luck.
