scletoria dosage and drying?

How would one dry scletoria? same way as regular mushies? Also dosage on scletoria is same or different or whats the deal?

drying: slice them thin (1/4 in.) and dry like normal.
doseage: about same (as the fruit of that species) by dry weight.

If you slice them in half, wouldn't that destroy their ability to reproduce?

i don't see how it would. it might open them up to contamination though. i can't say for sure though because i've never replanted sclerotia. i bet UNA would know for sure.

Yep it might dry it out a little too much, but if u just dry it the way it is, you could allways cut in half, retrive a peice of tissue, put on agar-media and get good growth..since it never dries out completly..[without desiciant.]

sounds good to me, stoneroller. 2 qs: 1. how long do you thing the sclerotia would maintain viability for growth; 2. if you do not dry them well, is there any chance that they could get contaminated and rot, etc?
