Pretty amazing this pine. It was only discovered in back 1994 in the Blue Mointains NSW. "Fewer than a hundred trees are known to be growing wild"

Thanks mate. I'm only just getting started though. Ill have a lot more cool additions to the garden coming soon.

And thats awesome that theyre selling the wollemi pine over there. Theyre a cool looking tree.

kew botanical gardens have been breeding them :yesnod:

i was a little worried about its hardiness but it seems to be doing just fine so far in temps as low as -6c/-7c.
it's a bit yellow but surviving :thumbup:

Yeah I reckon it would dip below freezing temps up in the blue mountains during winter. Mine actually got fried from the sun when it was younger but has recovered quite well. So yeah they seem pretty hardy.

Nice garden I really like the first picture nice selection there LOL. That Wollemia Pine is something I have never seen before maybe down the road I will get myself one of those.

Yeah Juke those pines arent cheap ay. I think I paid $30 for mine when it was tiny. Its at about a metre now which sell for $100:eek:

they go for alot more than that here...
i think i paid £65 for mine when it was a 2 footer...
there's a guy in the next village who has a nursery growing australian plants (tree ferns, eucalyptus, acacias, etc) he has jacked the price up to £100 now that they are around 3 feet tall :nonono:

a beautiful and very interesting plant though so well worth the money :yesnod:
