Buddah, in reply to your post, I am thankful that there will be a protest, and I dont give a fuck who takes my picture, I will be there to defend what I believe in. I would fight for American if it was a war where I thought we should be involved in. I dont think Saddam should have the weapons, however I feel that it is just a big cover-up for the real reason: OIL...like a fellow member above had stated.

Boy Bush and Daddy Bush have this fucking regime of Mr. Fucking Rich Oil men who would do anything for their precious oil. Goddamn _____ should get off the oil shit and start spending some money on renewable, clean energy and fuel cell cars. The technology is here, why not do something with it. America is going to go downhill in 50 years when our entire industrialized economy will run out of oil. Then what the fuck are we going to do? Dump the millons (billons?) of unusable cars, planes, boats and trains into the ocean? I wouldnt be suprised. Hell, lets cut down the fucking forests while where at it.

The fact that superpimp stated that, is too bad. Im glad you reconized this and apoligized.  Why you hate hippies so much?

Think about it, at the rate we are going, and the WWII industrialized economy of the past, we wont have any fresh air to breathe, no forests to get away to in, and no fossil fuels. There is a lot of money to be made in the way of creating a cleaner, healthier envoirnment for the future, not the past.

I really don't want a war with Iraq but what should be done with Saddam?  I can't honestly say I trust the man and don't think many people do.  So, any ideas on what should be done about him as opposed to just saying that war is bad and dubya is evil or let's go to war and blow things up?  I never seem to see many alternatives to war anywhere.
I don't know what to do about the situation, so that's why I'm asking about alternatives.  I've talked to a lot of people that feel the same as I do, that something should be done,  and most of us aren't quite sure what we think should be done.

I have thanks.  :smirk:

The electoral college has changed how it was performed roughly 3-4 times.  There would be a controversy regarding the votes and then they would change how it works.  It is a farce.

*side note for conspiracy theorists*
Of the few times a "president" was elected without winning the popular vote, 2 of them had fathers who were presidents.

And a quote from Stalin
"Those who vote decide nothing.  Those who count the votes decide everything."

Think of that quote next time you stick up for Dictator Dubya.  I also advise people to read up on the real story behind the florida voting debacle.  Thousands of oversea ballots were counted even when sent in late or missing proper date stamps.

Come on, the democrats are just as heavily if not more heavily involved in voter fraud as the republicans. Remember seeing those cross-eyed liberal goofs, attempting to divine the voters intention by looking at ballots that weren't even punched? They were definately trying to manufacture votes out of thin air. In California, the liberals register illegal aliens to vote!

The U.S. is a Republic not a democracy. The electoral college is in place to keep large states from politically dominating smaller states - all part of that checks and balances thing. Anyway, democracy is highly overrated. A great man once said that democracy is two wolves and a sheep deciding on what to have for dinner. Democracy is no guarantee of freedom, it is no guarentee of justice, it is no guarantee of equality, it is merely a means of collective decision making - nothing more. Remember, Adolph Hitler was democratically elected and what he did was legal.

To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.'  Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence.  Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains.  Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

***The electoral college has changed how it was performed roughly 3-4 times. ***

who cares? what does it say now?..the rules aren't liquid like so many libbies want it to be. BTW the rules can't just change without a ratification.

****There would be a controversy regarding the votes and then they would change how it works. It is a farce.****

so what if the libbies think it's a farce (as they do with all laws they don't agree with ie: right to bear arms, religious beliefs, freedom of speech, etc......basically the bill of rights) it's the law..if you don't like it the change it..don't just think that YOU (not you in particular)don't have to follow it.

***Think of that quote next time you stick up for Dictator Dubya***

i'm not sticking up for GWB....i'm sticking up for the Constitution....

****I also advise people to read up on the real story behind the florida voting debacle****

we have and it's clearly obvious that Gore and his trial lawyers ignored the law. To argue that, that didn't happen is just naive.....and that is the REAL story. Not the one on CNN or from terry macullah(sp)
