Is there anyone who still has this wonderful machine?
Just wondering as I still have mine in tact with mario/duck hunt and the gun. Some of you have to still have one. Trip down memory lane anyone?

I still have my NES and the casing is in mint condition still. I refurbished it about 2 years ago so now it runs like new. A 9$ part that takes maybe 20 minutes to install will solve all the flashing screen problems that everyone remembers. Blowing dust out of the games and tapping the top of the system to get shit to play lol, ah the good old days.

Good stuff. I wasn't far off that probably around six or seven. What a game though. I took it out a few months back and completed it again for old times sake ha ha

Ya? Whenever it used to act up I used to bash down on top of it. Did the trick. Ya does it clean the resolution up too? Like its's very grainy on the screen like a badly tuned in tv channel

I still own a NES, in fact I have like 7 and most of them still work.
Kind of funny seeing as most systems now-a-days don't last very long *cough*XBOX 360*cough*

It's true though things just aren't built like they used to be. Ya I wonder the % of x box 360 owners have had to send them back. An awful figure I'd say

NO LIVES LOST! this was fucking out of this world... it's the only time he beat the game and he was peaking in the trip at the end. i watched the whole thing upside down which just added an even greater dimension.

Fuck it now I think of it it makes sense.
You know the way it can either speed up or slow down your perception of time, his perception must have been real slowed down so he had all the time in the world to dodge things.
Joe Di Maggio admitted to being on acid when he made some record for home runs. He said the ball was coming at him so slowly that he could literally pick the spot on the bat he wanted to hit it. True story

yeah, he was just in the groove and nothing could stop him. i guess he just knew what was coming... in slow mo just like Joe D.
as a joke i'll randomly thank my friend for beating the game that night, i feel so forunate and grateful just to have witnessed it first hand.
cosmicfool: that video was pretty absurd and ridiculous... thanks!

the best trick was putting the game in slow.....and pushing down whilst u slid it in so as the game went downwards as soon as it hit the point of being able to. anyone rememebr that one maybe just me but most people didnt know this trick and it worked quite well as well as goin up and down with it when it was in check this out tho! proly what ur talking about..... my friend just showed it to me after i asked him if he still had his! http://cgi.ebay.com/FIX-NEW-8-BIT-NINTENDO-NES-72-PIN-CONNECTOR-STOP-BLINK_W0QQitemZ260347879076QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item260347879076&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1234|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1308|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50

it wont look great on an LCD or plamsa (i wouldnt recommend doing that anyways) but yes the resolution will be improved on a tube TV. Just google NES 72pin connector, they are like 9$ on most vendors

That's quite a haul.
I could never finish duck hunt.
Read this:
It is possible to cheat in games by changing the brightness and contrast of the television, or pointing the gun at a bright light. The gun thinks it is pointing at a solid white target and will report a hit. If there are multiple targets, the "hit" target will be the first to be lit with the white square. This is not as consistent with a fluorescent lamp due to the possible differences in timing of the lamp's flicker versus the timing of the television's refresh rate.
Additionally, by using a magnifying glass on the gun, it fools the receptor into thinking that the rectangle is much larger than it actually is, allowing for a shotgun-like effect that will cover the entire screen. The same effect can be achieved by smearing grease on the lens.
There is hope

I still have an NES and almost 100 games for it still play it at the very least once a week. I don't have time nor the patience to play a game that takes over 80 hours of game play or more give me a classic system any day.
I also have: SNES Atari 2600 Sega Genesis Sega CD (just got it working last night with fuse mod) Game Cube Wii Playststion 2 and 1 Game boy + gameboy advance plus around 20 arcade games and one pinball

Thanks I missed a few but like the N64 and the Dreamcast. The Dreamcast is great with all the other systems you can emulate on it. I basically have most of the systems Nintendo put out need a few more of Sega's line up to get them all but I'm not in any hurry. There's only so much crap you can get before it just sits around and collects dust.

the dreamcast is one I'm missing and I usually "retire" a system if I get a newer one that is backwards compatible otherwise it stays hooked up.
