I am thinking of mailing some "chocolate" to a friend here real soon. I'll probably fedex overnight/2day. What do you think?

Use USPS, express / overnight is suspicious.

Protect the smell well, and label it as something else. Should be fine.

I made them into cups. I plan on sending them wrapped in foil in a box. I could spray some cologne in there.

I wouldn't add any other smell other than an odor neutralizer. They may actually look for overly good smelling packages, which I would think to be just as suspicious as funny smelling ones.

I think just sending it plain then should do, as long as it is wrapped up good.

Oh yea, another word of advice. I know someone who gets herb shipped across the country using UPS. From what I understand, they don't x-ray packages or check them for any reason, so they might be your best bet.

Well, my company has an account with Fedex. I was going to use a fake name but use the account and send it standard overnight. But it shouldn't cost much to send out via UPS. It is only 2 lil chocolates.

USPS is actually best. UPS/Fedex can open any package anytime they want. Packages in the USPS are more protected, and must get a warrant to be opened. Does this really make it any safer? I don't really know, but know from other sources and for other reasons that USPS is used to ship quasi-legal items much much more often than the others...

If its chocolate a that might not be a bad Idea would be an even better idea to do it closer to V day. Would be way easier since everyone will be mailing boxes of chocolate hey why not send it in a heart shaped candy box LOL.

supra's got it. Go with 1st class or priority USPS and don't tape seems or use outer wrappings or fake addresses or people.
Not all mail is sealed. USPS and Priority are two that are-- use it.
And I wouldn't use a fake name with the Fedex account unless you know enough to know it wouldn't be scrutinized. If the police want to inspect the box the presence of a mislabled package or one not meeting account criteria could justify their removing it from the mailstream.
Not to mention fedex themselves which can open your mail for any or no reason they want and without remedy to you. The constitution is your friend- use it- go first class or priority.
