I don't know, but logic should come to your door and kick your ass, j/k. Why in the hell would you buy one? They're expensive, and you only get maybe 4 flushes. If you went out and bought supplies to grow them out using a tek, you could get a whole lot more.

Yeah man I would def. not spend the money on a kit. I would save that money and go buy something useful ie...a pressure cooker. Then follow any of the various teks that are out there. Trust me you will be much happier. But if you do end up buying one you shouldnt worry about the cops busting down your door, I think you will be fine.

All depends on if you are a bust to sell to ? Go to homestead , they have a classic kit which is similar to your other post ......agar . Is a good starter kit , buy the book also .....THE MUSHROOM CULTIVATOR , will be the smartest investment you make . Good Luck p.s. kits are not money efficient , but do aide in start up concepts . Cops never kicked in my door yet (knocks on closest wood ) , but mine was a gift from a friend , so they are in jail now ..........LOL , just kidding . If you live in Cali or Georgia , it may be tough to get vendor to send to you .
-------------------- Any information I give is not intended to aide you in the production of potentialy illegal substances !None of my exp comes from growing illegal varities , so take it as you will . So with that said here is our mission statement . If you want shrooms so bad and you can't case, just grow them out on some cakes. It'll still be cheaper than a kit.

Actually, if you are growing out using a non-nutritious casing layer, you will have the same yeild as you would if you grew off a cake, (as long as you were able to provide optimum fruiting conditions.) this is because the amount of fruits is directly related to the amount of substrate, if you use verm, the only substrate your mycelium has is the cake that it colonized, thus the same amount as if you kept it in cake form. People do casings for a number of reasons, 1 they like the way it looks, 2 the casing layer provides humidity, etc. Now its all a different story if you were going to use a brf cake to spawn poo or straw, becase they are nutritious substrates.....

Skikid you can`t be basing your comments on previous grows? When working with cakes you have a minimal surface area for fruting, compared to casing which have a good flat surface area which promotes better fruiting and even flushes. To say that just because the substrate amount is the same that the yield will be the same is just plain wrong. It`s been proven many times that surface area is a very important factor in determining flush consitency. Even flat cakes fruited produce more fruit than a std brf/verm cake.
When dealing with dung you are breaking into an entirely different field and not everyone knows how to pastuerise and maintain correct moisture levels. So you should first consider suggesting dung to just anyone because chances are they`ll waste their time and substrate working with dung.
This however is not what the original poster asked. If you are looking for a reliable effective grow kit go and look for Tripmeisters grow logs concerning this exact topic.
