First signs of Mycelium on casing. Now what?
    #962786 - 10/15/02 01:34 PM (14 years, 1 month ago)

I just got the first Mycelium on my Maz-casing. The casing is:
Bottomlayer: Verm ; Middle: Maz-Mycelium ; Top: 50/50-Tek.
I would now like to know, what you would recommend me to do now, in order to get the best yield. Should I cover it up , or just leave it as it is?
Thanks,
JazzMatazz

Patch it with some 50/50. Let it colonise evenly so you get a better pinset.

Patch those spots that have appeared , and keep humidity up , give light mistings to keep casing on the verge of max moisture capacity(not soaking , just wet) . Keep patching till growth looks even through out tray .
Good Luck

In reply to:

give light mistings to keep casing

thanks for the answers!Ill patch it right now. But won't it be bad for the mycelium to mist it?

I think trip is saying to mist the patches.

No. Keep it moist, not soaking wet.
It seems like you will transferring the casing into the fruiting chamber soon.
