Little Salvia needs help :(

My little Salvia suffers from stunted growth for the past 3 months all she has is 4 small new leaves, she sits in a pot with soil and perlite mix 80/20 and lives near a window that has only indirect light all day long...
Any help will be very cool, thanx in advance...

eeeemmmm . is it a good idea to give it to a friend of mine that grows pot to put it under the 24/24 for a while?

salvia does very well near lights but not right under them.

re-pot it and give it new soil without perlite, rich in humus. keep the soil around the roots when transplanting... i think your soil mix may be overwetting things and salvia IS sensitive to that... give it a clay pot, drop a little lime... and talk to it a bit more... lol

I'm growing Salvia too..I might be full of shit,but are you sure lime is a good thing for an acid loving plant? I've always heard that they thrive on Miracid. (plant food)

ummmmmm...
actually i just put the limes to equalize the ph of my home made compost... in the end it might still be acid. all i know is that my salvias seem to like it... :smile:

I'm having trouble too, my plant is growing, but very slowly, and all the edges of the big leaves are dried and brown. The soil is very moist, and it's in potting soil. Do I need to mist them if the humidity is low?

That's strange because my salvia plants do very well with constantly wet soil as long as there is no standing water.
