Amphetamine Use

I'm posting this here because of the negative aspect associated with amphetamine use.
I knew what meth was at an early age and I saw it destroy many lives. Back in the "day" before PE laws existed my small-sized midwest city was overrun by methamphetamine and just then at that time my brain was maturing into the person that I am today.
During that time period I decided I'd stick to weed, sometimes coke. No meth. I already saw what happened to people in my life. Friends' parents dying of overdoses, family friends turned meth addicts thrown in jail; some still rotting there.
Despite everything I've seen, my reason for this post is I want to do meth again. I'm at shame to say this even anonymously.
I try to keep an open mind. Really, I do. I took some adderall today to help out with finals and I did some thinking. What's wrong with occasional meth, or plain amphetamine use? I view drugs as tools to help me. Weed to help me chill out, shrooms expand my mind (many reasons for shrooms, just generally), ecstasy to connect with others, so on.
I will use my friend as an example. He is perscribed adderall to help him in school because his terms of probation are violated if he doesn't. But yet he has a father that was an addict and my homie will never see his dad in the free world again. What's the hate on the extra methyl group?
This took me a while to write because I'm coming down from the effects and my head isn't as clear anymore. I just want to discuss how meth or amp could be harmful to a person that uses mostly in moderation.

Simple: methamphetamine is neurotoxic even at relatively low doses.

shouldn't be very harmful at all if used in moderation, assuming it is real and not made by some goofy fucker in a trailer park

You shouldnt mess with meth unless its a pharmaceutical.
Purity issues and having to deal with the scum of the city to get some come to mind.
Don't do it man. Not unless its Rx and you're damn sure what you're doing.

Yeah, no. And purity is irrelevant. Pure methamphetamine is still neurotoxic.

Degree is important. If you once or twice a year take a couple of Desoxyn to make a really great event last forever, theres little objections.
But many people who use powder meth end up using hundreds of milligrams daily for a few sleepless days, crash and sleep a few days, and repeat ad irresponsibilio.
using 50 mg a year cannot be compared with using 500mg in a binge.

I think you figured it out already.
I've done meth twice. I'm not looking to do it again, it's only use is to stay up buttfucking, or jacking off all night/day.
Or playing guitar like a motherfucker!!

Greasy is dead-on.
I've done meth a few times, I don't want to do it again. If I do it won't be for a long time, like years. It's the only non-psychedelic amphetamine I've used, but as far as I know it's a much greasier drug than adderall or any other amphetamine. It makes you sweaty, smelly, and flaccid. It also has the worst hangover of any drug I've used, including alcohol to extreme excess. It feels great when you're on it but it shreds your body up like nothing else and nothing is interesting on it except jerking off.
Try it if you really want, it's not like a little experimentation is going to ruin your life. But by the same token, keep a clear perspective on what you are doing and how you want it to end. When the crash hits you, take a shower, eat a big hot meal, smoke some weed, and try to get some sleep. DON'T do more unless you want it to get worse.

Whoops, that was neurotoxic too.

Try it all you want, just be careful. That goes for all stimulants (adderall included).
I've lost several good friends because there self-obsessed, overbearing, forceful tweakers now.

Damn, I'm stoned and didn't know if I had written this post or not. That shit ain't cool unless you want to be a fucking lunatic. I do like giving my car a thorough cleaning with a toothbrush though. You can get everything and nothing done at the same time..
