see, now here's the problem I have with christians/jews/muslims/whatever
the second you say you're religious some atheist decides to come along and say you're wrong that to believe in some invisible man in the sky cant possible be real, he didnt send his sone down to be the zombie of salvations, etc....
well, I got news for you all, none of you think outside the box, christians are captain crunch, atheists are fruit loops, buddhists are fucking granola, it takes just as much faith to believe nothing as it does to believe something, the bad news, atheists are worse than christians when it comes to pushing their religion, case in point, your post, anything that KoTT posts... why the hell doesnt everyone just shut the hell up and let people believe what they want to believe

Barack Obama and Ron Paul are also Christians.
The difference is they don't think dinosaurs were here 5,000 years ago like Palin does.
I've expressed this challenge since august, show me sarah palin making this claim, not some douchbag actor talking about sarah and the dinosaurs, show me sarah palin doing any of this shit people claim about her... simply put... prove it

I think Obama and Ron Paul are probably only still Christians because they were raised that way and their families/friends are all Christians so they don't want to say they aren't.
what's worse, someone that goes along with the crowd because they dont want others to look down their noses or shun them or someone that honestly believes what they believe it, frankly to be a believer or an absolute nonbeliever in something says they have maore character that the twats that say 'I'm, christian' just to score a few more votes

I believe all religions are equally right. I just hate when ANYONE tries to push theyre beliefs. Im constantly told by my family that Im going to hell and they worry for my soul and that one day Ill "wake up" and become Christian. And people bitch too much about church and state issues. The founding fathers were Christian, prolly ALL presidents will be Jesuits...its just our country's main religion. Ive learned to just accept that and deal with it.

I don't know what's worse, the followers or the leaders.
the ones that oppose them and have no tolerance for someone elses beliefs... to me it doesnt matter what you believe or dont believe, I choose to keep an open mind and not bash someone because they're different, maybe it just because I've learned not to judge others

its been known that before many great battle charges many athiests converted to some form of religion 'just in case'

gandhi, the guy that told the jews to jump in the oven, the same one that advocated violence to suppress the violence of the oppressed indian population in south africa?
he seems like a swell guy, violence works for the violent, if you lay down they can only torture and kill you, I see no harm in that...
gandhi also didnt know jesus very well

Ridiculous. "Religion" is such a large phenomenon. You might as well be talking about "stuff" in even vaguer terms.
What do you think about pantheism? Does that keep your mind inside a box?
Were Einstein and Euler's minds stuck inside boxes?

Good point.
I believe most people who say "Religion stops you from thinking outside the box" are just spitting out something they've heard before in an attempt to pass off as people who think outside the box. But actually they have made no effort to understand anything about the phenomenon and are stuck within their own little shallow world view.
It's one thing to talk of religious institutions - at least one of which is notable for not quite thinking outside the box - but it's another thing to speak of the beliefs themselves, let alone of the believers.
