For making a post about Jehovah's Witnesses, you really didn't trounce them that bad...

thats not true, its not their people, its a preselected number of people that go to heaven, and also they think hell is just an misinterpretation in the bible they believe they can analyze the bible more accurately than other religions

I had two Jehovahs visiting me for a few weeks as well as a couple of Mormons. It got to the point where I was explaining my views to them more than their's to me. They stopped coming around after that.
Funny, the young Mormon who was obviously 'in training' tried to make me have some kind of religious moment when he was reading to me out of the book of M and then looked up at me and tried to look deep into my eyes while still talking (he was reading something he had memorized apparently). It was so obvious he was trying some kind of technique. I almost started laughing cause he was being so serious.
Funny ending to the Jehovahs too. They dropped by to drop off some book and I was in the backyard so didn't hear them drive up. It was a gorgeous weekday summer morning and I wasn't working so I had a wake and bake and then found a beer in the fridge I didn't know I had. They come walking up and I've got a Bud in my hand and my pipe and lighter are sitting on the step and I'm really stoned. Buddy looks at the pipe, looks at me, hands me the book, makes a little small talk and leaves. Just a little uncomfortable, heh.

I work with a Jehovah's witness. He is a baker, and tell awesome stories about his life and complaining about the way the "gov't and big business works." He used to be a cook in Vietnam and ran a mess hall, and tells some great stories. I had no idea he was a Jehovah's witness until another employee told me.
...so they're not all bad.

I had a friend. Then this friend decided he needed to be a Witness. Now he's not my friend. Not of my choice, but his. Because I don;t follow the light path, he's decided that he shouldn't associate with the likes of me.
Makes me sad.

That's fucked up....religion shouldn't split apart friends....what ever happened to "friends are akin to buttcheeks, shit may come between them, but they always stick together."
It's a sad world we live.

I once went door-to-door registering people to vote. One person said they weren't registered to vote because they're a Jehovah's Witness, and they don't believe in voting.
I was thinking, "Wait...I'm the one knocking on their door. Something's wrong here..."

Those folks are alright, I don't really share many spiritual beliefs with them but we invite them in to theologically shoot the shit.

Mormons are definitely an interesting breed, they've got to have a membership card to get into their temple and they also believe some really crazy shit.

Yeah, from a christian perspective some of their beliefs sound crazy, but from an outside perspective I think a lot of religion (including christianity) sounds bat shit insane.

Mormons are at least intelligent.
More intelligent that any Christian sect I've ever encountered.
