So today is day 10 of my fruiting. I FINALLY saw this pin when I woke up.
I know hes a little guy...short and fat (which IME usually get the biggest anyway).
But its the ONLY pin on the whole thing!
I know 10 days is a bit early, but now Im worried itll be the only one

Well as a newb on growing I'd say that thing doesn't look too much like myc should. It looks like a small spider's web, cobweb maybe?

See all those little white dots all over the place? Those are hyphal knots and alot of those will form into pins.
When you do a multispore grow there's different genetics so some come up earlier then others. I'd expect to see alot more pins in the next 36 hours on that cake.
Usually in my tubs from the time I see the first pin, it takes about 2 days for the rest to show up.

Dude that thing is covered in knots. Give it time and you should be a happy camper. I assume you spawned to coir?
Oh yeah I forgot to mention. Keep your FAE and RH up there to maximize your pinset.

I posted this a few days ago and they said it was knots...they just look like dots to me, so I really couldn't tell.
Yes, its BRF cakes spawned to some coir.
And I know its not contam'd its definitely healthy myc. Hopefully these dots WILL be pins in a few days...that would be great!

I would suggest more FAE, the cotton looking myc growth is due to high CO2 levels.

Could be, but I'm home all day so I fan at least 6 times a day. That could be remnant of when it was a monotub. I tried out my first monotub (this was it) and I got worried that it wasn't working so I threw it in some perilite which is my tried and true method.
Maybe after I get some mushrooms I won't mind experimenting next time. Just didn't wanna come up empty this time.

The cap is about to open on that pin. That means it's not happy at all. Could be due to insufficient moisture in the substrate or poor lighting. RR

I thought it was juts because it was mutating a bit. Any suggestions on what to do then? I know I should never mist my spawn directly...and I know its not my lighting, its out in my room that gets plenty of sunlight (not direct, I know).

well no shit and I do not know how all this shitty bad information actaully gets posted here. Do me a favor to prove my point. Only spray one side of it. Directly spray it, knock down the mycelium. Do not add peroxcide.

I spray mine dead on, doesn't seem to bother the mycelium or developing mushies.

I usually give it a good solid soaking right off the bat and if it was a dry sub to begin with (which is good for fast colonization) then I give it a cup or two of water depending on how much sub we're talking.
Then just a light mist once a day after that unless it looks like it's drying out again, which happens sometimes.
