Theirs always at least one musical group that you think everyone should own a CD of.
List that band/group, and one song that that would sell that CD to whoever downloads and listens to it. List a few bands if you want. Try to pick a song that represents the groups music as a whole - not just the one 'hit'.
1.) Counting Crows - Ghost Train (August and Everything After) 2.) Radiohead - Spinning Plates (Amnesiac) 3.) Cake - Race Car Ya-Yas (Fashion Nugget)

Boards of Canada - In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country The Incredible String Band - The October Song / The Tree / Mad Hatter's Song Talking Heads - Once in a Lifetime Aphex Twin - 4
PS I think the version of Spinning Plates on "I Might Be Wrong" pisses all over the Amnesiac version

That's a great idea, but mind if I make a suggestion? If anyone has Soulseek or any other download programs, list them too so we can get some file sharing going betweens members of the Shroomery. That way we can see what tastes people have and expand our own. Here's my list : Fantomas - Directors Cut (Experiment in Terror) Earthtone 9 - arc' tan' gent' (arc' tan' gent') Velvet Acid Christ - Fun With Knives (There is No God)
My username on Soulseek is Sheepish, so if you have Soulseek, send me a message and I'll add you to my list.

Good music all - I've added a few CD's to my shopping list... fer when I get a job. I especially like Boards of Canada. I've been searching for more ambiant music recently. Also the techno you reccomended blastrid.
The I might be wrong live version of Spinning Plates is definetly great, but I like the amnsiac version just as much because of how creative it is. He sings it like its backwards.

Just had another good song for you guys. I'm not a big fan of the artist, but the song itself is great. Chicane - Overture It's a soundscape sort of song, pretty nice for shrooming.
