Sterylize casing conatiner with rubbing alcohol?

If you were using a plastic conatiner for a casing you couldn't sterylize it in the oven. Would a quick wipe down with rubbong alcohol on a paper towel be sufficient for sterylity? would it cause any problems for the mycelial growth?

Thats what I use plus some lysol. Should be all good.

I would think lysol would work best, also some peeps have used water bleach
solution.

You could also try using the microwave. Water + 5-10 min should do it

I use rubbing alcohol.
I doubt putting it in the microwave for 5-10 minutes would work as the water would need to be boiling for 5-10 minutes which would take a lot longer than 5-10 minutes total. Just use rubbing alcohol.

Rubbing alcohol should work fine!

I won't say DON'T be sterile.. But I find it's pretty forgiving.  For example I dropped some spawn on the floor one day while I was spawning some dung, so I just threw it in the jar the spawn had come out of, added some dung, and a few days later it was fully colonized.  The impressive part was I know my floor, and it's not very sterile :wink: 

Just rub down with some rubbing alcohol and you should be fine.

It works very well unless you have plans for a fire and one hell of a mess.
Try getting 70% or higher. Thats what I use.
