Dung storage temps
    #959694 - 10/14/02 02:41 PM (14 years, 5 months ago)

It's getting cold around these parts and I was wondering if I could still keep dung and straw stored out side in the garage.

The first frosts are just starting to happen and I'm worried that this will kill the beneficial micro-organisms that are so important to indoor bulk substrates.

By the way, I'm not interested in ways to keep the poop warm.
Thanks.

It's fine. No sweat. The raccons compost pile stays outside all year long, exposed to weather.
