Vaccuum Food Savers?
    #928585 - 10/03/02 01:09 PM (21 years, 5 months ago)

Has anyone ever tried using one of these vacuum food sealers for filter patch bags. They have a impulse sealer on them that is about 12" long, but I'm not sure if they get hot enough to properly seal thicker bags?

a friend of mine once preserved some fresh picked B+ with a household vacuum sealer. 3 days later, he decided to eat them, and the clear fluid in the bag turned blue immediatly when exposed to air...pretty damned cool to watch!

I haven't got one yet to try it with or I would, I have been thinking about buying one for that purpose and was just hoping someone else had already tried it so I would know if it is worth spending the cash.
