Kanna seedling

I bought some seeds off from Ebay awhile back.This sprout is a little over a month old.Because of my crappy digicam,you can't see that the leaves are covered with very small silver hairs.Has anyone else grown these from seeds?Does this look like Kanna? I always thought they had more triangularly shaped leaves.

I am in the process of trying to germinate some seeds. Can you provided some information about the environment that they germinated. I have had no luck so far (3-4 weeks).

What I did was to take the seeds and put them in a test tube of water. Everyday for a week I would shake the tube vigorously to remove the natural sprout inhibitors. After a week,I added a small amount of rooting hormone to the water,mixed and then strained through a 80 mesh (fine) screen.You should start with 20 + seeds because a lot of them don't sprout.Next plant the seeds by pressing them onto moist cactus mix soil. I found it best not to cover the pot,but instead gently mist whenever it shows signs of drying. I've noticed sprouts within a week! Be sure to give direct light,I used a flourescent tube about an inch away
And NO these are not poppies :grin: The sprout in the picture fell over and has most of its stem laying on the soil. Someday I hope to take cuttings because starting from seed is a pain in the ass! Good Luck!

Unfortunately I have planted all my seeds with out any method to remove the natural sprout inhibitors. I am hoping frequent watering and drying will help remove these inhibitors. It will probable just take a little longer.
