a stupid question

I went to Home Hardware (Canadian hardware store) to pick up some canning jars, i was looking for a half pint jar with no inner lip, i'm using the pf tek and the brand name jars at the store were, Bernardin, in 125ml and 250ml..the 125ml being half size of the 250ml. I wasnt sure which one i should buy, i'll be casing, and using cakes. Has anyone used any of these jars before, which one should i use?thankyou for the help.

Either one will work. The larger jar will just colonize more slowly.

i will agree with dog. bigger jars result to slower 100%+ colonization, so there is a larger risk of contams or any kind of failure

Thank you guys...I appreciate it, i think i'll try the smaller jar, seeing how its my 1st time, i dont wanna make my chances of failure even greater.

I use bernardin 250ml half pint jars, they work great.
