Which resident evil to buy? (Game Cube.)
    #9590948 - 01/11/09 06:30 PM (15 years, 2 months ago)

I got a game cube. And the prices are not so high on games no more. And I am bored.

I got resident evil. And there is "zero", "2", and "4" that I know for sure is available for GC..

I only played resident evil.. Which one of the others I mentioned should I get next?

(Any advice on other GC games are also welcome.)

I got:

Resident Evil
Eternal Darkness.
Zelda TW, WW and FS..
Supermario
Supermario cart DD

So no need to mention those.

Resident Evil 4 is the best game I ever played. It was so great I played through it twice! I recommend it.

The "Rogue Squadron" games are a lot of fun. I don't know if you're into star wars at all, but even if you're not they're great games.

If you like Resident Evil, buy the remade RE1, 2, Zero, and 3 if it's available.

I may have enjoyed 4 if it didn't try to pass itself off as a RE title. It has Leon and Ada from RE2, and that's where any similarities end. I hated it with the burning passion of a thousand suns....but I'm a purist.

Eternal Darkness is also bad ass. One of the best.

If you like Zelda there are several for the GC. Twilight Princess is good despite the name. Windwaker and a couple others are cell shaded which bugs me but that's just personal preference.

Super Smash Brothers if you have friends.

Heh... TP.

I actually liked Wind Waker better than Twilight Princess. TP (hehe) struck me as a half-assed clone of OOT with a wolf thrown in to make emo kids happy. (Also, the parts where you had to play as the wolf BLEW.) Never got around to finishing it. At least WW had a creative setting and unique art direction.

I agree RE4 doesn't have much to do with earlier RE games in terms of gameplay, but it is good.

I would personally recommend 4 over Zero, actually.

Depends on whether you want one of the best action games ever made (4) or survival horror's last hurrah (Zero).

REmake (resident evil 1) is the best in the series and also the most challenging. 2 is great but the third is amazing, Code Veronica is a bit strange with all the fog.

oh and

RE4 isn't a RE game, it's just a stupid shooter with names borrowed from the series to lend some credibility to it :mad2:
