Drugs generally won't help with self-hypnosis, although scopolamine and tropane alkaloids are known to make people more suggestible.

He most likely won't read it, but instead create 4 more threads asking about the best medication to fix it. These threads of his always end up the same.

You need to check out hemi-sync. or brain-sync
Binaural beats (It only really works with stereo headphones) This shit works.
These are just a few examples.

Melatonin helps with lucidity, and 5-HTP will help you sleep.
I'd steer clear from those other drugs. Booze, in particular, is terrible for your sleep cycle.

You sound intoxicated on something, but that could very well be just a lack of sleep.
Perhaps you should just lay down for as long as it takes to fall asleep, with only the goal of sleeping in mind, and then attempt all of this in a clearer state of mind.

Self hypnosis works good I think. Just say out loud "I'm concious while dreaming and remember my dreams" for a little bit every night before you go to sleep just sort of as a chant. It took me about two weeks. I'll stop having lucid dreams if I don't do it at least every once in a while. For a while though I was having lucid dreams almost every other night.

He doesn't want that though, he wants drugs. This is like his 5th post this week about the same damn thing. Have you looked at his post history? It's getting so old. I think I may need to just use the ignore feature if the mods won't do anything.

check out "reprogram your subconscious" on amazon.com. I ordered it a while back and there is some good stuff in there. There is one 30 minute self hypnosis track that works really well.

Only drug combination that makes my dreams really vivid consistently has been hydrocodone and pseudoephedrine, in Pancof HC syrup. Only other dream potentiator I've really tried is mugwort, but it wasn't near as strong as the cough syrup.
I wasn't lucid, but the dreams were extremely vivid and intense, which makes it more likely to go lucid possibly.

Well, if you insist upon this route...
Alcohol and Marijuana can both inhibit REM sleep. That is to say, they have been shown to inhibit dreaming.

Here try this. Headphones on and see How does that mess your baby up, leg Eatin' a Reuben sandwich with sauerkraut.

Yeah I really like the binaurals. Especially theta range. I get some really cool visuals. And they're relaxing as hell.

Hmm. I work @ Geek Squad so I get the Best Buy employee discount. I wonder how good it is on Bose headphones. I have to try this. I've been wanting to learn to meditate and self hypnotize for a few years now.

Alcohol is terrible for sleep, period. It makes you sleepy when your body has no natural tolerance to it. Otherwise, it keeps you awake, and when you drink enough to pass out you aren't even really sleeping. It's more like a drug-induced coma, and when you wake up you will have had little if any of the benefits of sleep.
Ask for psychiatric help.

This guy just doesn't want to listen to any advice we give. He just keeps making the same posts asking what drugs he can induce himself with to ease the pain or whatever it is. While I sympathize to an extent, it's just the same things over and over and he never takes anyones advice. No, booze will not help induce lucid dreams, in fact it will probably have the opposite effect.. it is terrible for sleeping. And drugs are not the solution to your problems.
