Hygrocybe flavescens (How'd I do?)

If this is indeed Hygrocybe/Hygrophorus flavenscens, maybe I'll go back and pick them for my salad tonight (just as an expiriment, I've heard they aren't really that good.)
Habitat: Mixed pine/fir/maple forest. Found poking it's head out of leaves/moss, not on wood.
Gills: Slightly yellow, thick.
Stem: ~3cm long, 5mm wide, moist, yellow, white base
Cap: ~3cm wide, bright yellow or orange. Viscid, incurved
Spore print color: Didn't bring it home to print
Bruising: No bruising observed immediately when upturned one specimen.
Other information: I drink way too much Diet Mountain Dew.

I think you did excellent. But let others jump in and crap on your ID before you get too happy.

Your ID looks good to me, but there are several yellow Hygrocybes which look really cool none of which I'd eat. What'd it smell like?

Doh! I didn't smell it. If it comes down to that, I'll run back out and take a whiff

No...that was my mistake. I thought a similar species had a distinctive smell, but apparently I was wrong. It's not recommended that you eat these, but if you're hell bent, then I'd like to know how it goes, as I find the same or similar species.

I always heard they had a strong yellow smell, but that was from some buddies that did a lot of acid so idk.
