Kundalini help

After reading a couple books, and some posts here, i am positive that i have begun kundalini cleansing. I was pushing really hard one day to open my third eye, i got teh idea from Maynard from the band tool. I felt the energy rise up and at the time i had my wife rush me to the hospital, i thought i was dying. Thank god i chose not to go in, but it was an expierence i will enver forget. Now the same thing happens, and i know what it is, but it happens sometimes, even when id ont want it to. I decided not to trip anymore because, now even on low doses, i release a ton of it and it almost feels like way more energy than my body can handle, I know im not crazy finally, but if there is anyone who is or has gone through something like this, i have some questions. Should i not trip anymore, does that release too much or can i handle it, what should i do to maintain this, for some time i would release it and it would take a lot of work and meditation, but now like i said il be playing guitar and boom, il have bolts of energy shoot up my back. please contat me if anyone has expierence with this.

I've had that experience. I'm in a rush and will have to post later, but I have some input for you. One question first, how long ago did this originally occur?

Cool experience, can you elaborate on it a little bit more? I'd love to have a kundalini awakening, how long does it take before you get there? What did you do in order to awaken it? And what are the benefits of having one? How does it change your life?

Why do you ask here? I mean, most of the people on this forum are drug users, not spiritual seekers. At least i believe that. So wouldn't it be easier to find an answer elsewhere?

When I was into the whole yoga/meditation/kundalini scene, I met more dysfunctional people who thought their panic attack or low blood sugar or ??? was a sign of spiritual progress. Not saying that is the case here, but self-deception is always a possibility.
What I found particularly ironic was that illness was considered a sign of kundalini and profound health was considered a sign of kundalini.

true kundalini awakening should not be sought out without the guidance of an experienced guru.
those are turbulent waters.
your best bet is to seek out someone of the buddist faith who trains people in kundalini awakening and see if he can help you.
good luck.

read it somewhere a while ago. cant remember where.
awakening the chakras can be a dangerous thing, and premature awakening can even cause insanity. there is a certain amount of mental capacity required, and alot of balancing out of aspects of yourself.
premature kundalini awakening can be like building a mansion on a swamp.
also historically every student of kundalini has been guided by a guru. the guru is there to make sure that you are ready, and balanced -- or to help stabalise you should you move too far too fast.
im sure that it is possible to do by yourself, but i wouldn't.

I read somewhere long ago the earth was flat.
Every student of kundalini being guided by a guru is just simply impossible because there had to be someone who was the first in the line and thus didn't have any guidance at all.

One more time, how specifically do you know this?

Improperly awakened kundalini may result in problems. Kundalini can be awakened spontaneously, forced or in a way that has been tested and thought to be safe. Since the chakras hold emotional residue it is advised to do emotional work before awakening kundalini. The energy tries to go from root to crown through the spinal channel. If there are blockages it may take a different route.

You know it is true because it was in a book? That is evidence only of the author's ability to persuade a publisher - nothing more.

well obviously my ability to persuade you is lacking. whatever you wish to beleive.
but if you do a little bit of research into the subject i think you will find that this theme comes up time and time again.
