i've noticed that the numbers used in the shroomery dosage calculator are completely different from the numbers cited in Erowid's Potency Scale . the potency scale includes references, so it seems more official....which one should i trust?

They are not completely different. The dosage calculator calculates both for fresh mushrooms as for dried mushrooms. When you dry the mushrooms, some of the psilocybin and more of the psilocin is lost due to oxidation. This is taken into account with the dosage calculator.

Notice that those are the reported MAXIMA of the analyzed samples.
