Why can't mycelium defend itself from contams as it colonizes? I understand contamination taking over when substrate is about 10% colonized but when there is about 90% mycelium and it still gets contaminated that doesn't make any sense to me!

contams are much stronger and grow much faster. The same analogy can be said for certain viruses that can kill a human!

I think if not properly prepared, many contams which survize are just stronger and more distructive them the mycelium. Show some muscle Mycelium!
