ok its come to it, humidifier questions inside

ok i saw a few vaporizers at a thrift store today for a dollar. and i was wondeirng a couple of things though..
they dont have hoses, its just the base thing and the cord. what do i need to make it work? they look ok.

in the output holes... just widen the hole and jam a tube in there, use putty to seal it up.....

i think you just put the tube in where the humidity comes out. then tape up whereever it releases humidity so it makes a seal and all goes thru the tube??
