contamination time frame

i started getting growth a few days ago in my brf jars, they are growing really quickly, one is like 40% colonized. i'm just wondering when contams start to show up. i made some substrate too wet and put it in a seperate junk jar and i' just waiting to see when it grows contams (i didn't sterilize it, i even coughed in it). it hasn't grown yet, so i'm just wondering. is it usually when the mycelium is like 50%, or before they even start, or right before birthing, or just no way to tell. this is my first time gorwing, thanks

contams, if present, will usually be easily detectable within 3 to 4 days.
