I think it was moved too much, and that day that got over 90F couldn't have been good for it. It seemed like a soldier though This seems like a good idea except I would tear the pieces a bit smaller. Nice job

B+ has exactly nothing to do with the rhizo's or speed of growth. A cube is a cube, do you understand?

I think you would of been better off pulverizing the cardboard mix.

Lignin can make mycelium very rhizomorphic. Spent coffee grounds, straw and poop all have high lignin content. I read on another forum this guy had 100 % fruiting success rate when adding poop to the card board.

ARP you have any crafty ideas on how to pulp the cardboard I may be into that if you do? I think recycling cardboard into subs in smaller amounts could be easy and cheep but I'm spent for ideas as to how to chip the cardboard significantly and cheaply.

Scavenger When I am only using small amounts of straw, I toss it in a blender with a cup or two of water. It turns into like a straw paste, that I then add to my bulk substrate. I imagine you could do the same with cardboard.

exactly. When cardboard is the only food source of course it will eat it up but it may not like it.
The cardboard I used was recycled and had different colors and what not. So there may have been different things mixed in the cardboard the myc liked.
