 AVI to DVD

YO.
i finally got dvd burner working, but now i have found a new problem,
Xilisoft AVI to DVD Converter does conver the AVIs to ISOs, but at a terribly slow pace, is there any other program or method to speed up this process?
please pots if you know anything!!

convertxtodvd
seems to be a popular program, as far as speed goes though, i have no clue how fast it is. Sometimes you just have to take what you get, video encoding is very system intensive, and takes a while.

Most DVD players read AVI (DivX) right out of the box without the need for conversion. $50 or less.

and you know any brand names off by hand that can read them, or where i can get that kind of info?

is this convertxtodvd the best way to rip Avis, Wmvs and etc. to dvd?
is there anyway to rip them types directly to dvd without converting, if dvds would read that?

i use OJO soft converters. u can convert AVI to VOB, FLV to AVI. they got around 20 different converters for different video file types.

avi on xbox 360 is easy, it just requires a quick update. to get the update, put an avi disk in and go to my xbox/video library/current disk. when u select the disk and the avi in it, it will prompt u to update, then repeat those steps to watch it and this time it won't prompt u for the update, it'll just show u the avi.
