My Near Death Experiance (Hell)
    #9506749 - 12/28/08 01:02 PM (12 years, 2 months ago)

I dont wanna go into details, but a while back i had a near death experience. It changed my life, and was very intriguing. I hope you enjoy this little "Anecdote" of "Hell". I got a glimpse at it, and heres my perspective  :strokebeard: Hopefully it can quill some anxiety some of you may have about death like i once did. I can never fully describe what i experienced, but I tried to type a entertaining version you all might enjoy

What can you do in hell?

First off when you arrive in hell you are granted everything you want! Seriously, you will have whatever items you have wished for in your life. Whether it was sex, video games, drugs etc. etc. Dont worry you will have plenty and LOTS of time to spend doing it. The only downside is you will have realized that its not important. It never was important. And whatever it was you used to escape the "Right actions" in life, you will spend eternity doing them. This of coarse will cause great suffering as you think about the things you have neglected and strayed away from.

Will I be alone in hell?

This answer isnt easy. That is because you will have other people around you! But they aren't the ones you want. Imagine how you would feel spending 3 years in iraq, then once you came home, instead of seeing your wife.....you got to kiss an 80 year old crack whore who's skin is sagging. Thats the feeling you will have towards the people around you. What makes it even worse is that you choose these people to be around you for eternity! You will recognize these people from your time spent alive, and Your subconscious knew it while alive but didn't become enlightened to it until your death. Even though these people are around you, it wont cover the "Alone" Feeling you will have. Its the worst feeling ever, and you will wish these people weren't there. You will crave your loved ones, including your god/gods whoever they were.

Will i suffer physically in Hell?

Again another tricky question. The level of hell you are sent to is based off your previous actions. You get to create your hell while alive.......HOW FUN! You could be in a emotional hell. But you could be in a physical hell as well! It all depends. From the level of hell i was in, i did suffer from physical pain. The demon i had to face had "Lightning Spells" and it hurt very badly.

Will i be in Hell for Eternity?

The Definition of eternity is "time without end". However there is no such thing as time in hell! This is the scariest thing about it. Hell will end. But since there is no time you could indeed say you are there for "Eternity". You will be in hell until you suffer the actions you have harvested on earth. You will also be there until you recognize what it is you did wrong, and have a VERY strong desire to change it peacefully. You are in hell, and whatever fight you are in Physical or Emotional, its an uphill battle every step of the way.

What does the "Devil" Or "Demons" look like?

Exactly how they did on earth! Remember that Guy who sold you meth? That was a demon. Remember that dude who beat on your mother? That was a demon. Remember that guy who cared about Money more then others? That was a demon.

Will Jesus/Gods/Angels save me?

Im not a big man on the bible, but one thing i can say for sure.......it had one thing right! We do send ourselves to hell. Whatever higher power there is does love us, and wants us to succeed. But we send ourselves to hell, and through the teachings of these powerful/enlightened beings we heard about while alive, do we cultivate the skills and understanding needed to save ourselves from there.
........................................

There ya have it! I should write a book. But thats my experience through the depths of hell and back. If i have one thing to say to you its this. We all know what to do on earth. Deep down we all know what we should be doing. Help others, love your neighbor, put others before you, spend time with your loved ones, dont be greedy, dont kill, dont drink 24/7, FORGIVE THOSE WHO HAVE HARMED YOU, share the wealth, etc. etc.

Our ignorance and and actions blind us from the higher power we are all connected to. And whatever religion you choose the general teaching is the same. Do the right thing. Heres a quote Buddhists have that is one of my favorites.

"We in Buddhism believe God has done his part........all that's left if for us to do ours"

Hippies and Liberals love Pope Francis, so why dont I quote him for you guys. "There is NO SALVATION outside the Catholic Church" :morningtoke:

That was a Rod Serling Twilight Zone episode starring Sebastian Cabot as the devil. This is why I heavily stress turning the TV off when having an NDE. :yesnod:

We only know this after cultural programming and the donated superego of our parental conditioning kicks in.  There are certainly some genetic components to altruism, but there are likewise genetic components to aggression, hatred, and opportunism.

Any argument whose conclusion tells us what we should be doing is inherently suspect.

Could you provide a source for this quote?  There is no God in Buddhism.

“Strengthened by contemplation and study,
I will not fear my passions like a coward.
My body I will give to pleasures,
to diversions that I’ve dreamed of,
to the most daring erotic desires,
to the lustful impulses of my blood, without
any fear at all, for whenever I will—
and I will have the will, strengthened
as I’ll be with contemplation and study—
at the crucial moments I’ll recover
my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

There is no "Buddhism".  Whoever said that quote considers themselves a Buddhist, and also believes in god.  I could object to "we in buddhism" as being a bit too inclusive...

Christianity to me is all about a fat elf bringing me gifts, therefore the label Christianity includes that idea.  There is no base to any religion, it is all built off individuals. I don't know where I'm going with this...

There is a Buddhism: it is the teachings of the Buddha, and his teachings on reality do not include God.

If all followers of Buddha truly saw reality as he did, they would all be enlightened masters(assuming the stories of buddha are not trumped up :hehehe:).

No, each "Buddhist" has his or her own personal reality that has little to do with Buddha himself.  The term Buddhism doesn't mean anything without Buddhists behind it.  Some of them have a God.

I'm curious, what did it feel like to be in that reality? What were your initial impressions, and the granting everything you want, who/what did the granting, in your experience?

No idea who did the granting, it was more along the lines of "Knowing" i could do anything i wanted, however i felt too shitty to do anything.

Please keep in mind the following is for entertainment purposes only, alot of you are looking TOO deeply into it. I did allot of "Twisting" what really took place to convey a important and deep message.

I kinda figured that, which is why I was curious about the feelings and sense of intent from "them/it".

You see, I too have been to hell, though I was awake. I call it hell because it occurs to me that it may have something to do with the states of mind which gave rise to the word. I'm curious as to whether there were any similarities between mine and yours beyond what you inferred.

If you are a Buddhist and believe in God, you have wrong view according to Buddhist canon, and so are not really a Buddhist.  What you're suggesting is akin to saying that there are some self-proclaimed existentialists who believe the universe was created by a wheel of cheese.  Maybe there are, but that fact says nothing about existentialism as a philosophy.  If God made His way into the Buddha Dharma, it would cease to be the Buddha Dharma as it has been practiced for centuries.

There's a difference between trying to avoid being the vehicle of God's wrath, and constantly forgiving someone who rapes your daughter (for instance).

Technicaly the person getting raped agreed that it was their karma and agreed to the experience and you agreed to the situation also knowing full-well you could worsen your own karmic-record by your reaction.

In that scenario one may wonder just what choice there was that would make one pick that experience.

I've seen some clue that suggests the alternative is worse than what we could experience in life...so nobody really has much of a choice but to terrorize each other into slipping-up on the karmic scale. (Sounds like somebody enjoys real-life horror) ((not saying you, of course))

the apprehension of heaven and hell as reported by Tea is fairly eloquent, it could be further embellished to a novel or movie,
whether it is an NDE or a voyage through Alzheimer's, or an addicts journey, there is something universally human in it.

thanks for posting it.

Hell is a state of mind, not a place.
When you are in deep sleep you are happy
and no questions arise about God, Heaven and Hell.
Why?    Think about it.

If there is a God, and it is omniscient, then I highly doubt that there would be a hell.
