pan cyans - sterilized or pasteurized?

Is pan mycellium more aggressive against combatant funguses than cubes? Will I need to sterilize my dung/straw in spawn bags (i have the bags, but no flow hood for transfer), or can I pasteurize then move to spawn bags of straw/dung substrate?

Pasteurize.

Sterilization will kill nutrients and micro-organisms in the straw/dung that make it a good fruiting substrate. These nematodes and what-nots in the dung actually help fight off contams themselves, and the mycelium can still grow well among them.

Pan mycelium is weaker then most strains of cubensis.

Both sterilization and pasteurization result in similar yields with Pans.

Ok, cool. Thank you. I will spawn a 75/25 dung/straw mixture with 1 quart of pan cyan colonized millet this week. I'm very excited, do you suggest a cold shock?

If I have a possibility of sterile bulk inoculation (a big flow hood), then i actually prefer sterilisation.

If I have a possibility of sterile bulk inoculation (a big flow hood), then i actually prefer sterilisation.

I suppose if you have well controlled conditions, sterilization would allow you to use a smaller grain to spawn ratio when doing bulk innoculation.
