Lets talk NBA 1

We're nearing the half way point in the season, so let's talk NBA
In the East I think there are 2 great teams followed by a couple solid teams and a bunch of mediocre teams
The clear cut 1,2 is Boston and Cleveland, the 3,4 will end up being Detroit and Orlando leaving 4 more tossup spots. I think it will be Atlanta, Bulls, 76er's, and Miami getting into the Eastern division playoffs. I think Cavs win the Eastern division this year
In the West, 1 powerhouse followed by a bunch of solid teams Number 1 team is the Lakers. From there I go New Orleans, San Antonio, Houston, Suns, Spurs, Dallas, and finally a battle between Nuggets and Trailblazers
I think Lakers win the West easy and play Cleveland in the NBA finals
Cleveland wins the NBA finals

cleveland wins the NBA Finals!? haha! how? lebron can't WIN a championship with his acrobatic cool little lay ups. This team has had the easiest schedule i've ever seen, wait until thye play the tougher teams in the east ...they're not going far with boston and orlando. let's see if they can actually compete as a championship team when shit gets on the line...none of this memphis, chicago b.s....
as far as detroit goes, AI is just a curse. the guy's a good player, but doesn't fit in with the championship pistons we once knew. hamilton and AI don't mix. denver will be a tough contender in the west with billups on their side...that guy can run a team.

Repeat of last year's finals with a result that I could not even guess. I would believe in the cavs more, but I still don't think Lebron has enough help from his teammates to beat an elite team in a seven game series.

You can only beat the teams on your schedule. And with the exception of the Cavs and Celtics, the entire rest of the east is pretty mediocre
Cleveland is much improved from when they made the finals. LeBron now plays defense which he never used to, Cleveland also has a 2nd scorer in Mo Williams and Daniel Gibson and Delante West are still scorers. Anderson Varejo has really stepped up his play as well and the rookie JJ Hickson has looked impressive in limited time. Regardless, Cleveland is still the ONLY team who is undefeated at home
I agree with you guys about Detroit, I think that was a really bad trade for them however Rodney Stuckey is really stepping his game up. As for the Nuggets, they will never be good, they dont play defense worth a shit and are extremely inconsistent. I give them the 7 or 8 seed and thats just because of their division.
edit- how easy we forget that Cleveland took Boston to 7 games last year without Mo Williams

But you gotta remember ATLANTA took boston to 7 games too...i mean..Atlanta? Boston was still pretty fresh with the playoff experience and now that they've got a finals under their belt they're gonna be even tougher. The cavs are gonna have a hard time with any team above .500 unless they prove me wrong...during their streak they only played what...2 teams above .500? It's still a little early so it's hard to say.
I haven't been following the cavs much as I reside in LA and am a die hard Lakers fan and may be a little biased considering my bitterness towards the "LeBron is the best in the league" statements...it just pisses me off. The guy's good, but is like a football player running around little kids without any knowledge of the game. Give him a few more years of experience to be a contender in the finals...maybe.

Atlanta is much better than they are given credit for. They will definitely make the playoffs
Cleveland has beaten over .500 teams in 2 of their last 3 games beating both Denver and Houston, 2 solid teams to say the least. And Im from Cleveland so I am definitely biased too but I really think we have a good chance at bringing home the bacon this year and hopefully resigning LBJ in the offseason

I agree, I thought the Wizards were going to win it at one point. It's the NBA though, records really dont matter when you have best of 7 game series. Come playoff time the team who wants it more will prevail
It was nice watching Boston fall

Good point, although people have been criticizing LA for barely beating under .500 teams, so i wanted to point it out.
We played excellent, gonna be a huge confidence booster for a while.

Yeah, Im not worried about the Lakers one bit. Phil is a great coach and Kobe is one of, if not the best, player in the league right now. I would be shocked if they didnt win the west

Wow. I can't believe they lost to Golden State. That just proves it was a confidence issue when they lost to LA. They'll get back on track for sure though...I won't be too surprised.
And yeah, to be completely unbiased, LA looks like they'll win in the west, i'm just afraid of them on the road right now. They've gotta learn a few things when it comes to that before the playoffs.
Looks like the Cavs have some hope to be #1 in the east if they can keep it up.
