what if someone had a "contam" that looked the same color as the mycelium, maybe ever so slightly yellow? it had no odor other than mushroom and its texture wasnt slimy but more like dried mucus, kind of sticky. i know thats a pleasant thing to picture. didnt see anything similar under the stickys up top. also how easily can contams cross from one cake to another in a shotgun terrarium. thanks

Myc metabolites are sometimes referred to as "myc piss", because of the color. I'd guess this is somewhat similar to mucus color? If present, the metabolites themselves aren't harmful - but from what I understand, they're present for a reason, like fighting off a contam of some sort. Everything could still be OK, but I'd just keep an eye on it.

yeah i thought it could be myc piss but i thought that usually formed around the bottom. this is on the side but im sure it could form anywhere on a cake
